The Final Word for Auditions: PLEASE READ!

***READ THE ENTIRE MESSAGE!***

1. If LACasting sent you a very specific time for auditions (like, 3:55pm on the dot!), ignore it. It was the auto scheduler.
2. Auditions are on Saturday, Jan 30th, Between 2pm and 5pm. USC Taper Hall room 201.
3. Come in any time. The sooner the better.
4. If you are running late, etc, let me know. CALL do not TEXT. I can stick around a little after 5. MUST communicate! My number is 818-641-9117
5. Some of you have said that you cannot make it on Saturday. I am having another round of auditions on Monday, between 6pm and 10pm. Location (click for map): 2338 Scarff St, Los Angeles, CA, 90007. (Which is a little north of USC). Though I highly advise you come for the Saturday one.
6. (If you are underage, please bring a parent/adult with you! I know it feels like going to Chuck-e-Cheese...)
7. Check the USC map two postings below for Taper Hall's location (in a red circle).

Wardrobe, Makeup

For the audition:

Wardrobe: 

PLEASE COME DRESSED IN ARRANGEMENTS OF LIGHT PINK, BEIGE, CREAM, AND SILVER. THE IDEA IS TO CRAFT A DREAMY, DETACHED YET OBSERVANT LOOK. SOFT, BUT FIRM... NOTHING DISTRACTINGLY SHARP.


Makeup:

Light, flattering makeup with the above said in mind. Well groomed hair. Straight/light curls, not too frizzy. This is the audition, so look your best!

Audition will be held at USC's Taper Hall, shown in the map below in the red circle (click on it to enlarge). I believe there is free street parking on weekends.

Email/call me if you get lost, confused, will be late, etc. Do communicate =)

I'f I'm auditioning someone just walk right in and have a seat. The auditions are very, very short. I just have to take some sample shots and a 30 second video test.

Again, if you cannot make it Sunday let me know. I can schedule you in Monday albeit in a different location.

Concept notes on crafting the shoot

(following are excerpts from communiqués with client)

...the filler images, it represents the brand image... girly, flirty, light, airy, young and fun but not tacky…

…As for the shoot style... a combination of French boudoir meets New York chic. Something like Miss Dior Cherie, Bond No. 9, Marc Jacobs perfume ads.

..It is not Versace sexy... the overall concept of the brand is "Pure Innocence"…



…Our tagline is "Sheer Delight" so the consumer should get a feeling of light and airy pure delight when they see the ad…



…launching two women's perfumes in the form of gift sets... "Darling" and "Miss Darling"

…Brand colors are peach, silver and cream…

...For the print ad I wanted the general ad for "Boutique Perfumery" as it is a new brand with both products in it...

...The only difference between Darling and Miss Darling is that "Miss Darling" is a younger and girlier perfume and utilizes hot pink, while Darling is the main perfume and keeps the brand's peach color...

Notes on the previous five images

1. Nina by Nina Ricci: Pink tones and regal distance, use the 'princessy' factor
2. L'Air du Temps - Nina Ricci: Maintain look of softness and innocence.
3. Chanel Fragrances: Beige and peach tones form the mainstay of the color scheme.
4. Gucci Envy Me: The look is sharp but appropriate for Miss Darling... softer eyes needed.
5. Miss Dior Cherie: Preferred model.
